Jane Eyre
In der britischen Literatur hoch angesehen und gleichgestellt mit Jane Austin: Die Geschwister Brontë, Charlotte, Emily und Anne. Mit männlichen Pseudonymen getarnt schrieben sie Essays, Gedichte und Erzählungen, spannend, fesselnd und phantastisch zugleich. Charlotten Brontës Roman "Jane Eyre", erstmals erschienen 1847 unter ihrem Pseudonym Currer Bell, wurde nun wieder verfilmt. Eine schöne, wie auch traurige Geschichte. Supermoon Captured: The Best Shots of Biggest Full Moon in 2013
Giant Yellow Moon
If you looked at the full moon in this photo taken over the weekend at The Old Fortress of Corfu in Greece, and thought "That full moon seems bigger and brighter than normal," you would have been correct.
On Sunday, our lunar neighbor made its closest approach to Earth for the 2013 calendar year, appearing eight percent larger and 17 percent brighter than usual.
At its closest, the full moon clocked in at a distance of 221,824 miles (356,991 kilomters) from Earth. That's a bit closer than the typical 226,179 mile (364,000 kilomter) distance.
But what a difference it made.
Some also marked the occasion by taking photos of the moon in spots all over the world. Hundreds of you submitted your supermoon photos to National Geographic's Your Shot photo gallery. We've rounded up some of our favorites for your enjoyment but would love to see more. Spooky caterpillar invasion leaves graveyard looking like a 'scene from a horror movie'
An invasion by millions of caterpillars has turned a graveyard into a spooky scene from a horror film.
Mourners at Sutton Road Cemetery in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, have been astounded by the phenomenon - with the caterpillars crawling along dozens of gravestones, benches and trees.
The bird cherry Ermine moth caterpillars, which have created web-like nests and left the graveyard with a ghostly white appearance, even hang from the trees on thin strands of their silken threads.

There are no plans to remove the caterpillars, known as 'web worms', because they do not cause any damage to the headstones and benches.
Julia Heath, 42, who was left stunned when she visited the graveyard to lay flowers, said: ‘It really is quite a sight - I don’t think I have ever seen anything quite like this before.
They can be found across Europe as well as in northern and eastern Asia.
Ranging in size from 0.6 to 1in, they live on bird cherry trees and make an extensive web-like nest.
They can eat an entire tree bare although many trees survive with reduced growth in the following growth seasons.
In 2011, 20 matures trees disappeared under a web of white silk in Birmingham when they experienced an infestation.
Experts say there are often outbreaks in areas with a group of bird cherry trees - which are quite rare in England, compared to Scotland.
It is not thought year-on-year climate variations affect the numbers of caterpillars - but it is believed the rise in reports of recent outbreaks may be simply because people are noticing the webs more, following increased publicity.
It is not for the faint-hearted because the caterpillars look like maggots or worms which really could make your stomach turn.
'But there is something quite beautiful too in the way they create the ghostly white webs that hang from the trees. It would be the perfect setting for a scene from a horror movie - it reminds me of Tim Burton films like Sleepy Hollow.'
The invasion is not the only of its kind seen this month. As reported last Thursday, a plague of the same bugs has covered pavements, walls and cars in Hampton, south-west London.
'Sometimes you get really specific outbreaks and people notice. Often people see a tree covered in webbing and think that is unusual and could be spiders. They don't really connect it with thousands and thousands of small caterpillars.
‘I don't think the climate affects them very much. It just so happens that somebody long ago thought they would plant bird cherry trees at the cemetery - and this is an unlimited supply.
‘It's probably a migrant moth that laid a few eggs there years ago. It's not a common tree around here in the South. The only thing that knocks them back a bit are wasp parasites.
‘So that is the main way in which the population is controlled, because birds don't seem to touch them - I suspect because they don't taste very nice. The web does offer some sort of protection.’

100-Year-Old Teddy Bear Abandoned At Bristol Airport: Help Us Find His Owner!
Airport staff are hunting the owner of a much-loved, 100-year-old teddy bear, found left behind in a departure lounge.
The antique bear, which has one eye and a floppy ear, was found in a bag with a frayed black and white photo dated March 1918 of him in better days being cuddled by two children.
Unlike famous Paddington, the bear has no name tag, but a message in faded ink on the back of the photo says: "With dearest love and kisses to our darling Daddie from your loving daughter and sonnie Dora and Glyn."

Staff at Bristol Airport have spent 14 months trawling flight records to see if they could find any two passengers with the same names.
But they have drawn a blank and are now appealing to the public to help return the teddy - named Bristol by staff - to his rightful owner.
Airport spokeswoman Jacqui Mills said: "He's well-loved, that is for sure.
"He looks a bit battered but I think that's because he has been given so many cuddles over the years.
"He was with lost property and we were certain that someone would claim him, but when they didn't he was passed over to the airport police who took very good care of him and tried every means possible to find his family."
The bear was found along with a black and white photo inscribed with the message: 'With dearest love and kisses to our darling Daddie from your loving daughter and sonnie Dora and Glyn'
The postcard photograph has a second message, which says "taken on Baby's birthday March 4th 1918, one year and five-months-old."
Mills added: "Photographs were such a rare thing on those days and would not have been taken very often.
"A photograph celebrating a birthday may have been taken a few months after the date."
Bristol Bear is currently living on the corner of Mills’s desk.
"It would be so lovely to perhaps find Dora and Glyn or their family and reunite them with this gorgeous bear.
"He has a missing eye, a very floppy ear and I think he has had an operation to his tummy at some point, but I'm certain he has a few more cuddles in him yet."
Teddy bear expert Edy Reilly, who runs Oldenbears bear-repairing company, said: "I do believe he is either a German or French bear.
"He is made of fine quality mohair fur, and the general shape, construction, characteristics and quality of manufacture all point towards Germany.
"Because he has some wear and damage which distorts the original shape, plus has also had repairs done in the past, it is more difficult to identify him as these mask some of the main characteristics, e.g. nose and paw pads, on which there was even sometimes the remains of a manufacturer's label.
"I hope he finds his way home soon - some teddy bears do like to travel."

Schon mal was von Charli XCX gehört? VON ihr eventuell noch nicht, aber bestimmt ETWAS von ihr. Sie war es nämlich, die den Song, "I love it", den nun das schwedische Popduo Icona Pop performt, geschrieben hat. Auch wenn es nicht sie ist, die mit diesem Song die Lorbeeren erntet, so steigt sie nun dennoch aus dem englischen Underground und gibt ihre unkonventionellen Songs zum Besten. Etwas zwischen Dark-Wave Gothic und Synthipop, schwer zu definieren, auf jedenfall fesselt sie. Auch wenn ihre Stimme etwas düsteres an sich hat, verbreitet der 20- jährige, bildschöne, quirlige Lockenkopf gute Stimmung und einem ausgelassenen, freakigen Tanzabend steht nichts mehr im Wege.
Hier eines ihrer neusten Werke und im zweiten Clip beweist sie, dass sie auch live eine sehr faszinierende Stimme hat.
Mich hat sie auf jedenfall in ihren Bann gezogen!
